Second-year student of the Master’s degree in Chemistry with a focus on biomedical chemistry. She is completing her diploma thesis at the Chair of Molecular Biochemistry. From 2019 to 2022, she served as Vice President of the UG Students’ Science Club for Chemistry. Involved in numerous events popularizing science.

Agnieszka Manikowska

CHAIRWOMAN
of techniquesx& support

I am a first-year graduate student majoring in Chemistry with a specialization in Chemical Analytics and Diagnostics. In 2020-2022, I served as the President of the Students’ Science Club for Chemistry. I am involved in the organization of many scientific conferences at the national and international level. I am pursuing my master’s thesis at the Department of Physical Chemistry in the Laboratory of Biological Sensitizers.

Damian Makowski

CHAIRMAN

I am studying Chemistry with a specialization in Chemical Analytics and Diagnostics at the Faculty of Chemistry, University of Gdansk. I am developing my interests, related to nano- technology in the broadest sense, by pursuing my bachelor’s thesis at the Department of Environmental Technology. I am currently working on the synthesis of composites based on metal-organic frameworks (MOFs), covalent organic frameworks (COFs) and quantum dots.

Jakub Donat

I am a student of chemistry at the University of Gdańsk. My specialty is chemical analysis and diagnostics. I cooperate with groups of chemists in my departamnet. My hobbies include cooking and music. In the future I would like to travel the word.

Honorata Sikora

I am a PhD student at the Doctoral School with a specialization in Chemistry. My research interests concern the measurment of the proteolytic activity of enzymes. In My research, I focus on finding a biomarker for the development of diabetic nephropathy.

Maria Nevarez Martinez

I’m a 3rd year PhD student at the Faculty of Chemistry at the University of Gdansk, department of Environmental Technology. I work on developing nanomaterials for photothermal cancer therapy. I focus on the synthesis and functionalization of gold nanorods to be tested in vitro toward HER2+ cancer cells.

Hanna Głowienke

A graduate of chemical business studies. PhD student whose research interests focus on new hybrid Janus nanoparticles and their application in photocatalysis. Moreover, MSc in audiovisual culture, artist and author of a lifestyle blog.

Daniel Górzyński

I am a PhD student at the Doctoral School of Science and Life Sciences at the University of Gdansk. My research interests are based on organometallic skeletons and their modifications, which have applications in photocatalytic processes such as hydrogen generation and CO2 photoconversion. In addition to organometallic skeletons, he deals with transition metal carbides – MXene. My free time is most preferably spent in the company of a good book or a computer game.

Karolina Ławska

I am a student of the second year of master’s studies in the field of Biomedical Chemistry. I started my activity at the Faculty of Chemistry at the University of Gdańsk in 2019 as a member of the Scientific Circle of Chemists and I have continued it to this day. I am also a member of the student council of the Faculty of Chemistry at the University of Gdańsk. On a daily basis, my passion and an inseparable element of my work is the popularization of science and activities for the organization of cultural events.

Marta Pawlak

I am a PhD student at the Doctoral School of Natural Science at University of Gdansk. I am doing my PhD project at the Department of Environmental Technology at the Faculty of Chemistry, University of Gdansk. My research topics focus on the design of syntheses of coordination compounds based on downstream group metals and their use in oligomerization reactions.

Emilia Mykowska

I am a first-year master’s student with a specialization in chemical analytics and diagnostics. I work on my master’s thesis at the Department of Physical Chemistry. In my free time, I am active in the Students’ Science Club for Chemistry. Additionally, I read books and play computer games.

Dawid Falkowski

I am a final year Chemical Business student and an R&D specialist at QSAR Lab. My scientific interests focus on the development of innovative computational chemistry methods for predicting the unknown properties of nanoparticles. I employ quantum chemistry techniques to further advance this field of research.

Aleksandra Kotz

I am a second-year student working towards my bachelor’s degree in chemistry with a specialization in Chemical Analytics and Diagnostics. My work is mainly focused on organic chemistry with certain elements of physical chemistry. I am an active member of the UG Students’ Science Club for Chemistry where I take part in competitions and help promote science through various events such as scientific conferences.
